The job requires the counselor to work 3 days per week Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 PM. Benefits include sick time and vacation days. Responsibilities include conducting lectures for the IDRC classes, interviewing clients who have been convicted of a DUI, reviewing the screening process with the clients, referring clients for an assessment.Other responsibilities include monitoring clients who are referred for an assessment, monitoring clients progress in treatment.Completing all required paperwork. Documenting all information in computer system. A working understanding of NJSAM is not required but beneficial.
Experience in conducting interviews, knowledge in drug and alcohol treatment procedures, must be able to facilitate IDRC classes, must be capable of running classes for 1.5 hours at a time. Good communication skills.
