Substance Abuse Counselors – Multiple positions and locations in Central New Jersey

New Brunswick, Bridgewater, East Brunswick, and Flemington, NJ

The Substance Abuse Counselor role will vary based upon specific requirements of the hiring program; however, generally speaking, the Agency’s Substance Abuse Counselor will provide direct client care and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support clients recovering from addiction and improving their mental health.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide case management and biopsychosocial assessments to clients
• Individual and family counseling for clients within the facility
• Case conferences with Child Protection and Permanency (CP&P) and other providers, as needed

• Bachelor’s degree with CADC -or – Master’s degree with LCADC
• CADC interns will be considered for certain roles. Supervision by LCADC/CADC provided
• Knowledge of NJSAMS software
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Some local travel, including potentially to client homes
