A startup, Intensive Outpatient Clinic located at 860 Grove Street, in Irvington, New Jersey, is looking for a licensed professional counselor who is compassionate and willing to help individuals dealing with substance abuse and other traumas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluating client's needs.
• Developing individual treatment plans made directly to assist with the client's needs and goals.
• Facilitating individual and group counseling sessions.
• Familiar with the 12-step program.
• Educate clients and family members about recovery, coping strategies, and available resources.
• Preserve accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g. LCADC, CCS)
• Excellent communication empathy, and organizational skills.
• Working with a diverse group of individuals.
• Understanding of addiction and recovery principles.
