The Tanzania eVisa allows eligible foreign travelers to apply online for permission to enter Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. Applicants complete the online form, upload the required documents, pay the applicable visa fee, and submit the application electronically. Tanzania Immigration advises travelers to use the official government visa website and select the correct visa category according to their purpose of travel. A passport must generally be valid for at least six months and contain at least one unused visa page. Applicants receive notifications by email and can track their application online. Travelers should wait for the visa approval or grant notification before beginning their journey. Visa requirements can vary according to nationality, visa category, and individual circumstances.
