Substance Use Counselor

The Work Group is seeking energetic, compassionate, dynamic, detail-oriented substance use clinicians, interns, or co-occurring therapists looking to work in our outpatient behavioral health substance use co-occurring treatment center.

Responsibilities include facilitating psychotherapy groups, conducting weekly individual psychotherapy counseling sessions, treatment plan development, conducting substance use assessments, attending weekly clinical supervision/multidisciplinary team meetings, and providing client progress updates to referral sources.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is looking to accumulate clinical hours toward CADC licensure.

The Work Group, a nationally recognized non-The Work Group, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization with 40 years of experience in providing services to urban; out-of-school youth ages 16-25. Since 2019, The Work Group has operated an outpatient treatment program. The Work Group’s treatment program offers substance abuse and co-occurring services for adults, adolescents, and families. Services are offered in both Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) settings.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. The Work Group provides a business culture that fosters and encourages professional growth.  All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID. Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
