Description
The Director of Substance Abuse Treatment Program shall be responsible for the direction of both clinical and administrative aspects of the treatment component to ensure provision of quality care and confidential services.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of drug abuse screening, education, treatment, and intervention.
- Essential factors in documenting and maintaining case file records.
- Substance abuse screening instruments for assessment and counseling for substance abuse.
- Spanish and English (Bi-lingual)
- Continued professional development.
Ability to:
- Produce written documents in English with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation and grammar.
- Interpret rules, regulations, and policies and to make decisions based upon them.
- Enter data into a computer or other keyboard device.
- Communicate verbally in Spanish and/or English with clients, family members, or significant others in a face to face, one to one settings, using the telephone, or in a group setting.
- Work cooperatively with others
Experience
Master’s degree preferred in human services, mental health, or social work fields, with at least five years of experience in addiction services, with two of those years in a supervisory capacity, and be a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor with a CCS, or Licensed Social Worker with a CCS, or Licensed Psychologist, or ASAM Physician, or Board Certified Psychiatrist, or Advanced Practitioner Nurse with a CCS. Knowledge and experience in meeting compliance to agency, state, and/or federal regulations. Must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, and have an acceptable driving record.
