Senior Clinical Director for Womens/OP/MAT

Schedule per week:

One weekend a month
2 late days (11:00am to 7:00pm)
3 days (9:00am to 5:00pm )
*On call responsibilities

Location: Travel Required to Paterson and Paramus

Job Summary

Ensure all of the women’s residential treatment program, Outpatient Medically Assisted Treatment program and Outpatient Treatment that Straight & Narrow provides its clients is consistent with Straight & Narrow’s Philosophy of Treatment; and that Straight & Narrow’s Continuous Quality Improvement program operates effectively for the benefit of the organization, its employees and clients. While serving as the Senior Clinical Director will maintain the responsibility for the overall functioning of the Programs; long-term planning for the Women’s Programs, Medically Managed Outpatient Treatment Program and Outpatient; and ensuring the provision of quality treatment and care for residential and outpatient clients in accordance with the requirements of all accrediting, regulating and licensing bodies, catholic Charities Straight & Narrow’s mission, vision, values and philosophy of treatment. This position requires to be on call responsibilities.

Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for providing direct supervision, hiring and termination of:

Director of Residential Life for Women Services

Director of Women’s Services

Director of Outpatient and Medically Managed OP (MMOP) programs

Clinical Supervisors

Other supervisee as assigned by Executive Director (ED)

  1. Ensure that all treatment programs deliver quality services in keeping with Straight & Narrow’s Code of Ethics, Philosophy and standards for professional licensure.
  2. Ensure Clinical Supervision is conducted based on agency policy and standards
  3. Ensure that all Residential Women’s Treatment, OP and MMOP programs are equipped with tools and directions required to efficiently run programs.
  4. Ensure that all treatment programs and departments are adequately staffed and are provided with trainings and opportunities that enhance their professionalism and career development.
  5. Be available to staff and other key personnel at all times.
  6. Conduct annual appraisals for all of your direct reports and ensure all of your supervisory staff also conducts annual appraisals for the staff they supervise
  7. In collaboration with Human Resources, ensure all employee personnel file requirements for you and your staff are up to date.
  1. Planning and Development
  1. Develop and maintain written objectives, policies and procedures, an organizational plan and a quality assurance program for counseling services that are reviewed by the Executive Director.
  2. Partner with members of senior management in planning and development of all new residential, OP initiatives and programs.
  3. Partner with directors of clinical and medical programs as well as admissions to ensure that the behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence-based.
  4. Attend all Executive Director’s meetings for direct reports
  5. Maintain good working relationship with regulatory, funding and monitoring representatives.
  6. Ensure that all treatment programs and departments are in compliance with all prevailing licensure/regulatory standards.
  7. Be knowledgeable of various funding sources and ensure that all programs fulfill their relevant funding source requirements (program matrix/bed utilization, client care services, etc.)
  8. Ensure that all programs/departments are prepared for all site (state, licensure, county) Visits
  1. Ensure program schedules and services are provided based on state contracts and in accordance with Straight and Narrow policy and procedure
  2. Prepare all materials required for reviews by monitoring and/or licensing agencies in coordination with Coordinator of Special Initiatives.
  3. Conduct Departmental Peer Review meeting at least once monthly for each program
  4. Oversee preparation of each program’s Plans of Correction, complaint investigations, Incident Analyses and ensure that they are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  5. Conduct Physical plant walks through in coordination with the Director of Operations and Coordinator of special initiatives
  1. CQI
  1. Ensure that the CQI initiative at Straight & Narrow runs smoothly and effectively and that each committee attends to the tasks in its purview.
  2. Participate as a member of CQI sub-committees as necessary.
  3. Ensure that Policies and Procedures for all residential treatment programs and departments are developed, reviewed, revised and disseminated in a timely manner.
  4. Ensure that all programs and departments fulfill or work toward appropriate accreditation.
  5. Review Policy and Procedure for all program you oversee as needed but not less than annually
  6. Ensure CARF accreditation is maintained
  7. Ensure participation in all related CARF procedures for accreditation
Qualifications:

5 years experience in an administrative capacity and clinical role. LCADC with a minimum of Master’s Degree in Social Services and/or Psychology required. Dually licensed and CCS preferred and experience with medically managed programs and co-occurring disorders. Ability to represent Straight & Narrow with funding organizations, other providers, Board of Directors, Diocesan personnel and the community in a manner that reflects positively on the agency. Must have the ability to recognize new and changing treatment needs and respond with a plan of action. Knowledge of prevailing standards and best practices is essential.

Possess the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and handle crises. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, electronic health records, NJSAMS is required.

Experience

Qualifications:
