The Laos eVisa is an online visa facility that allows eligible foreign travelers to apply for a Lao tourist visa before traveling. The official Lao eVisa system requires applicants to complete an online application, upload the necessary documents, pay the applicable fee, and receive an eVisa Approval Letter by email. Applicants generally need an ordinary passport valid for at least six months from their arrival date, a passport bio page, and a recent photograph. The eVisa is currently available for tourist travel and provides a 30-day stay permit with single entry. The approval letter is valid for up to 60 days after issuance. Travelers must present a printed copy of the approval letter when entering Laos.
