Is your button text actually readable?
A designer friend pointed out that my light gray text on white was hard to read. I’d picked the shade because it looked elegant on my monitor, and I never questioned it.
I tested it with a colour contrast checker and it failed accessibility guidelines. I darkened the text and the whole page felt cleaner. A couple of people mentioned it was easier to read on their phones outdoors.
Do you check contrast when designing? I think many sites overlook it, and it matters for accessibility as well as readability. Has anyone noticed a link between better contrast and engagement metrics?
