Department:  BCIS SUD Peer Support Hudson

Salary: $78,000  (exempt)

Location:  Hoboken, NJ  

Work hours: Full time- 40 hours’ weekly

POSITION OVERVIEW: In collaboration with the Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) Director and the Team Leader-Licensed, the Bridgeway Social Worker Licensed, LCSW, LPC or LMFT, referred to as a licensed clinician at Bridgeway, ensures that clinical interventions are effective, trauma informed, stage-based and tied directly to the goal and discharge plans of the individual receiving these short term (up to 30-day) outpatient crisis intervention services. As part of a multidisciplinary, core services team, assesses and directs clinical services for people experiencing a mental health crisis or a worsening of a pre-existing mental health disorder or a co-occurring disorder who are enrolled in the Union County, NJ CIS Program.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Social Worker Licensed:

  • Intake assessment, crisis intervention, goal planning and discharge planning
  • Evidence-based, trauma informed MH/Substance Use outpatient treatment and education on-site
  • Brief therapy and evidence-based interventions in individual or group sessions in the office
  • Collaboration with Wellness Specialists/case Managers to recommend needed case management services along with referrals and linkages to after care services

Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
LCADC preferred
NJ LPC, LCSW license in good standing, CADC required
Co-occurring experience with substance use is required
Bilingual Spanish a plus
